Renewal Requirements

ALL educators will need the following requirements to renew their Florida Educator's Certificate:

• An educator must earn the equivalent of 120 In-service points during the current validity period of the certificate.

• Twenty (20) of those in-service points must be in an approved ESE Students with Disabilities (SWD) course

SOME educators may be required to earn points in approved READING courses and/or points in Florida’s EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP standards. For more information, click on Read-40 and/or Educational Leadership below.
